When you want to archive the time data in a TimeTraces project, or when you want to merge the time data into another project, you can perform an export. An export moves or copies the time data from the currently selected project to a destination project. More information on exporting can be read on the Import and export time data help page.
In the "Export project" window you can choose the destination project in two ways. If you have already opened the destination project in TimeTraces, you can use the "Choose" button to quickly choose it from the list of open projects; this will open the "Choose open project" window. If the destination project is not yet opened, or if it doesn't exist already, you can use the "Browse" button to find or create it on your computer. Note that you cannot export to projects that are being worked on when you are also working on the currently selected project.
When you perform an export, the window shows you which activities are added, and to which activities traces have been added by the export.
When you opt to move the data, it is also removed from the current project after the export is finished. If the destination project was not yet opened in TimeTraces, it will be modified and written to disk when you click the "OK" button; otherwise, the destination project is only changed and you can save it yourself if needed.
